CENTRAL COAST RUGBY to HOST NSW COUNTRY WOMEN'S 7's CHAMPIONSHIPS

Sat. 14th/Sun. 15th March at Woy Woy 0val

The Central Coast Rugby Union will host the NSW Country Rugby Women’s 7-a-side Championships in 2 weeks time. The Championships will be held over 2 days at Woy Woy Oval.

Teams from right across NSW country will be attending. There will be seven (7) Zones competing at these Championships. These teams are Newcastle Hunter, Mid North Coast, New England, Central North, Western Plains, Illawarra, and of course, the Central Coast.

Matches will occur during the Saturday, and the Finals will he held on Sunday.

The local team is being co-coached by Michael Burgess and Luke Mack, and the squad has been preparing for this weekend since training started earlier in the year. Michael Burgess is a former NSW Country representative women’s coach and is highly credentialed to take this team into these Championships. His co-coach is Luke Mack, who is the local NSW Rugby Development Officer, so the experience of these two coaches is unmatched and will hold the team in great stead.

Central Coast reached the Final of these Championships last year and are hoping to go one better in 2020. All Zones will be evenly matched and the Championship race will see some great matches over the 2 days.
