Three (3) teams from Central Coast Rugby Union will travel to Tamworth next weekend for the NSW Country Rugby Championships. The Men's 1st XV, the Colts XV, and the Women's 15's will travel to Tamworth on Friday to compete in their respective Championship divisions over the Long Weekend.
The Senior Men's 1st XV, the Colts XV, and the Women's XV will compete in the NSW Country Championships against all the other Zone teams from across NSW Country. These three teams have been training for several months in the leadup up to these Championships and they will be hoping to bring Championship honours back to the Central Coast.

The Men's 1st XV will again be coached by Craig McWilliam and the team will be hoping to repeat the Caldwell Cup victory they achieved last year. Last year the men's team won the NSW Country Championships after defeating Central West in the Final. The team has prepared well this year and they are hoping that last year's Caldwell Cup success can be repeated in 2023. The team has players from across most teams in the Central Coast competition and is fully representative of this Zone. The team will play Central North and Illawarra on the first day and the results in these two pool matches will determine their positioning later in the Championships and into the Finals. It is a tough Draw but one in which the team hopes to do very well. The players in the team will be striving for team success, but they will also be hoping to be selected in the NSW Country representative teams for further matches later in the year.

The Womens XV will be coached this year by Anthony Ericksson. He is new to local representative coaching but has chosen a strong squad to compete at these Championships. The women will be competing for the Thomson Cup, and they will be playing 15's rugby at this Championship. So the team has spent much time working on their 15's skills as the local Central Coast Women's competition is a 10-a-side competition.

The Colts team will be coached one again by Nick Meyer and he has high hopes of going one step further this year after being runners up last year. Nick is a very experienced Colts representative coach, and this year is also coaching the Razorbacks Premier 1 team. The Colts team will be competing for the Rowland Cup at these NSW Country Championships.

Below are the three (3) teams that have been selected for these Championships. They are listed in alphabetical order.
