The semi finalists for the Everything Sports - Cricket Shop CCCA 1st Grade T20 competition have been finalised following the completion of the final two rounds yesterday.

The semi-finals to be played on Monday, 27 January 2020 will see Lisarow Ourimbah vs The Entrance and Kincumber Avoca vs Northern Power.

There were a number of individual highlights which included Ryan Fenning from Lisarow Ourimbah who scored 110 off just 40 balls including five sixes in the final over in his sides win over The Entrance. Terrigal Matcham’s opening bowler Josh Bridge was unplayable in his sides win over Narara Wyoming taking 5/5 off 3.3 overs only to be upstaged in the afternoon by Narara Wyoming’s Kyle Jordan who decimated the Warnervale batting line-up by taking 6/11 off four overs.

Whilst the top four sides entering the day all recorded at least one win to ensure their participation in the T20 finals their were some winners and losers in the overall premiership race.

Lisarow Ourimbah only played once which saw them record a good win over The Entrance on the back of Fenning’s hundred. The Entrance recovered well from this loss to defeat Northern Power in the afternoon game with Adam Taylor topscoring with 55 whilst Callum Dunkerley finished unbeaten on 54 to follow on from his 55 in the morning. Northern Power had a first up win over Southern Spirit on the back of a good bowling performance to secure their semi final spot and remain in fifth position on the overall ladder. After entering the day with a chance of making the finals Southern Spirit were unable to win a game after losing their afternoon match to Terrigal Matcham who were the big movers on the day with two wins after accounting for Narara Wyoming in the first match.

Narara Wyoming recovered to consolidate their position in the overall top four with a win over Warnervale, the first win of the T20 competition with Jordan being the standout with his six wickets. Earlier Warnervale lost to Kincumber Avoca to end what was a disappointing T20 campaign for the defending champions.

Kincumber Avoca were the only other side to record two wins after surviving a late fightback from Wyong before winning by 10 runs. Skipper Dan Heuston had a good day with the bat with 38no and 21. The Griffins now are well placed to make a charge at both the T20 and the premiership.
