Northern Power raise $23,467 for the McGrath Foundation

The final tally is in and Northern Power Cricket Club has raised a total of $23,467 for the McGrath Foundation from their annual Pink Stumps Day held recently.

In a remarkable effort the club exceeded last year’s total of $21,355.

This years events included a fundraising dinner at the Ary Toukley on the Friday night however the main event was on the Sunday which saw junior matches in the morning before the aanual women’s match in the afternoon, which ended in a tie.

The day saw auctions, raffles and a canteen and bar in full action.

Another highlight was Northern Power cricketer Brett Lenton who paddled and ran from Speers Point to Harry Moore Oval at Toukley, a distance of 47.92km’s in a time of 7hours 46 mins, 45 secs to raise funds for this great cause.
