In light of the recent resignation of Glenn Rowlands as the Central Coast Zone Academy Coach, I am pleased to announce that Alex Patterson has been appointed to this role after a very strong interview earlier this week. It was encouraging also that we had four candidates apply for the role.

Just a brief background regarding Alex. Alex is a Central Coast Junior who resides and works on the Central Coast. Alex plays Premier 1st Grade Cricket with Gordon and he came through the Cricket Pathway in the 2000’s. He is passionate about holistically skilling players at Zone Academy Level and providing and is equally passionate about engaging Coaches on the Central Coast to work with Zone Academy and Regional Academy players. Join me in congratulating Alex on joining our team.

Lastly, I wish to personally acknowledge the work and commitment of Glenn (Snoop) Rowlands. I have personally known Glenn for over 30 years and Glenn has been an integral part of Central Coast Cricket for a very long time. To my knowledge, Glenn was appointed as the Regional Director of Coaching in the early 2000’s and has been awarded the prestigious Country Cricket Coach of the Year an unprecedented four times - 2006/07, 2012/13, 2017/18 and 2018/19. Glenn is also a Board Member on the Central Coast Cricket Association (CCCA) and has been an ally for Coaching in CCCA Boardroom.

Well done Alex and well done Glenn it appears that Central Coast Cricket is in good hands.
