This week’s Match of the Round is the top of table clash at Erina Oval between Kincumber Avoca and Lisarow Ourimbah.

The Magpies have taken all before them this year, unbeaten in all matches and having claimed bonus points in all three one-day matches whilst Kincumber Avoca enter the match after a surprise loss to Narara Wyoming last week.

The clash will also see a match up of the competitions leading run scorer Ben Cohen (Lisarow Ourimbah) against the leading wicket taker, Dylan Robertson (Kincumber Avoca).

The Griffins will welcome back skipper Steve McCabe who has been in great touch with the bat this year.

These two sides met in a T20 match earlier in the year which went down to the final ball and another close match is expected.

Warnervale will host Northern Power in a match that will see the loser almost bow out of contention for this title. The Wildcats prospects are greatly enhanced by the return to form of their captain Simon Keen and if he can replicate last weeks innings it will make life very difficult for Northern Power.

Northern Power will be refreshed having had a two week break and will be looking to their representative players in Chris Archer and Brendon Charlton to lead the way. Last years second leading run scorer Brett Lenton is yet to make an impact this season however if he can find some form the Power will be tough to beat.

The Entrance host Southern Spirit at Jubilee Park with both sides coming off a last start loss.

Southern Spirit were strong with the bat led by their captain Daniel Friend however their bowling was unable to contain Simon Keen and they will be looking for an improvement in that area this week. Harry Jaenke has had a very good start to the season and sits in second place on the wicket takers table.

The Entrance have been consistent all year without being outstanding and that can also be said about the individual players. Marc Mariner has been a standout player with the bat whilst Adam Taylor has been best with the ball.

In the final game Wyong are at home to Terrigal Matcham and they will be looking to get their season back on track as they are currently sitting at the bottom of the table.

Terrigal Matcham on the other hand are buoyed following their first win of the year albeit they will need to win all remaining one day matches if they are to repeat last years performance in making the final of this competition.

The return of Tim Bowring was instrumental to last week’s win and he will be again be a key figure in this contest.

Wyong were outclassed last week against the league leaders and will need to show more discipline with the bat if they are to get away with a win.

Narara Wyoming have the bye.
