Central Coast has opened Stage 2 of the McDonalds Country Cricket NSW Bradman Cup carnival with a 106 run win over Western Zone at Cahill Oval (Newcastle).

Led by a magnificent 113 not out from Liam Roche (Kincumber Avoca), Central Coast were able to amass 4/255 from their 50 overs. Jaylen Johnston 58 and Lochlan Smith 42 not out also made valuable contributions with Smith and Roche (photo below) putting on an unbeaten partnership of 110 runs to end the innings.

In reply, Western Zone were dismissed for 149 with Johnston rounding out an excellent match with 4/35 off 10 overs with Angus Jack and Tom Fenton each taking two wickets also.

The carnival continues through until Friday with the Central Coast taking on Riverina tomorrow.

Plan B Regional Bash Male Sunday 5th December 2021

Central Coast Rush suffered two losses on the first day of the Plan B Regional Bash.

Round 3 will be play next Sunday against Hunter Thoroughbreds at Raymond Terrace.

Central Coast tied with Northern Districts in an exciting match. This was a fantastic effort as the side was made up of predominantly U15 players due to the Bradman Cup.

WG Foster Shield U12

Central Coast recorded their first win in this competition with a six wicket win over St George.

Cricket NSW Female Regional Bash Saturday 4th December 2021

Central Coast Rush failed in their attempt to win their first match in this competition being defeated by Newcastle Blasters and Coffs Chargers in today's matches.

Despite the loss the side can be proud of their efforts as the selectors adopted a youthful approach which include 4 girls 16 years of age or younger (and one 38 year old). In addition to this all bar one player plays in the local women's competition the other player plays in the men's 2nd Grade competition.

Well done ladies.

Bradman Cup

Central Coast suffered a first round in the Bradman Cup going down to North Coastal in a rain interrupted match today in Sawtell. A thunderstorm forced the game to be abandoned after 20 overs of Central Coast's innings with the game decided under Duckworth Lewis.
