The CCCA Men’s 1st Grade Grand Final between Kincumber Avoca and Terrigal Matcham will commence Friday at Tuggerah, albeit the weather threatens to intervene.

The Grand Final will be played over three days commencing at 12.30pm with a minimum of 80 overs to be bowled each day. Should any play be lost on Friday or Saturday the following day is able to commence at 11.00am to make up for any lost time.

Kincumber Avoca finished the season as Minor Premiers with just the one loss and also made the final of the one-day competition.

The Griffins have had plenty of Premiership success last lifting the trophy in 2019/20 after also winning it in 2013/14 & 2014/15.

Terrigal Matcham on the other hand will be looking to claim their maiden first grade title as a joint venture. Whilst the club has won T20 and one day titles in 2016/17 they are yet to lift the Jack Gavenlock Trophy.

Matcham/Holgate won the premiership in 1987/88 and in a touch of irony that side was captained by the Patterson brothers (Geoff & Graeme) whilst the current Terrigal Matcham side is captained by Geoff's son, Alex.

Terrigal Matcham have had an up and down season but found themselves in the all-important second position on the ladder at the end of the home and away season.

Should a result not be achieved, Kincumber Avoca will be declared premiers.
