BEYOND THE SPORT - TRAIN, PLAY AND STAY AT SPORT AND RECREATION CENTRES
Our Centres have been supporting the NSW community for over 60 years, with a strong heritage in individual and team building activities. Whether you’re looking to reward your local sporting team with a fun camp style adventure, or you’re an elite coach dedicated to optimising your athletes training experience, you can now train, play and stay at any of our 11 Centres, with four of those centres in close proximity to the Central Coast.

For more information or to make a booking for your sport or active recreation group go to the Beyond the Sport link on the Office of Sport website.

OFFICE OF SPORT - MODERNISING AND OPTIMISING OUR SERVICES
The Office of Sport is working with the sport and active recreation sector to design a new service delivery model for sport and active recreation services across NSW. The objective of this project is to implement a more cohesive and holistic regional service delivery model that connects entities in each region and leverages the strengths of the Office of Sport to lead the sport and active recreation sector.

Sport and active recreation stakeholders have the opportunity to contribute to the plan through our consultation process. If you would like to contribute we encourage you to complete the survey.

NATIONAL SPORTS PLAN
Through a National Sports Plan, the Commonwealth Government seeks to understand Australia’s expectations of the sports sector, including shared goals for high performance sport; sporting participation; cultural and public health outcomes and the willingness to pay for these services, opportunity and success.

The Commonwealth Government seeks to hear the views of a broad range of interested Australians that will help inform the development of the plan. As part of the consultation process Australian community organisations, community groups and individuals are invited to make submissions. Submissions can be made online and close 31 July.

Healthy food choices before and during sport support good energy levels, help maintain your endurance and keep your concentration focused. This allows you to get the best out of your body and contribute to your team’s on-field success. Off the field, good nutrition is important for optimal recovery and for your maintained health and wellbeing.

Sporting clubs have an opportunity to improve performance and gain a competitive edge by promoting and offering healthy food and drink choices for their members and community alike. This shows leadership, provides role modelling and supports a positive healthy environment – a win for everyone
