State female 16s and 19s championships start today at Tuggerah
The most talented Under 16’s and U19’s Female Cricket in NSW Country will descend onto the Central Coast this week for the McDonald Country Cricket NSW Female U16’s and U19’s Female Country Championships which will be played at Central Coast Regional Sporting and Recreational Complex, Tuggerah.
Players from Riverina, Western, ACT, Greater Illawarra, Central Northern, North Coastal and Newcastle will join the host Central Coast in the week long carnival.
The U16’s will play their championships on Monday & Tuesday two T20 matches on Monday commencing at 10am & 2pm respectively. Tuesday will see another T20 match commencing at 9.30am before the finals are played that afternoon at 1.30pm.
Wednesday will see the U19’s commence their Championships with a 40 over match beginning at 10am. This will be followed by two T20 matches on Thursday beginning at 10am with the final T20 match at 9.30am on Friday with the final on Friday afternoon at 1.30pm.
Central Coast Coach, Michael Phillips has his sides well prepared for the Championships and is expecting a strong showing in both competitions. Last year the U19’s team made the final.
